VOLDT Hardware

Award-winning configurable architectural hardware system. Algorithmic variation creates coherent families of cabinet and door pulls with precise control over size, finish, and mounting detail.

Concept

VOLDT Hardware employs parametric design to generate a coherent family of pulls and handles. Each variation maintains the algorithmic DNA of the system while offering precise control over dimensional and material properties.

The configurator presents finite predefined options rather than unlimited customization, ensuring every output maintains design integrity and manufacturability.

Material Specification

Polyamide hardware.
Why, and how it's finished.

VOLDT Hardware is produced with Nylon 12 (polyamide) — the same industrial-grade material used in aerospace, medical devices, and automotive end-use components. Metal hardware requires tooling dies; every variation requires a new one. Our process removes that ceiling, allowing the parametric system to generate a coherent family of variations without manufacturing constraints determining the design. Three finish tiers are available, each with distinct surface properties relevant to specification.

Skin & Hand Contact

Nylon 12 is certified biocompatible per ISO 10993-5 (cytotoxicity) and ISO 10993-10 (skin sensitization) — the same standard applied to medical devices and prosthetics. All three finish tiers are safe for repeated daily hand contact.

Finish Tiers — Three Options

01 — Entry

Natural

Raw SLS Nylon 12, unfinished

Surface Micro-porous with designed micro-textured surface finish. Matte. No dye or coating.
Color Stone grey. The natural tone of sintered Nylon 12 — consistent across production runs.
Skin ISO 10993 certified. Safe for daily hand contact.
Dry Environments

02 — Standard

Dyed

Dyed Nylon 12

Surface Matte with designed micro-textured finish. Color is dye, not a coating — it will not chip or peel at edges or mounting points.
Color Black — Dark Green-Grey — Dark Blue-Grey.
Skin ISO 10993 certified. Color-fixed finish. Safe for daily hand contact.
Dry Environments

03 — Premium

Sealed

Nylon 12, vapor-smoothed, deep-dyed

+more
Surface Smooth, sealed. Vapor-smoothing eliminates surface porosity. Can be wiped clean with standard cabinet cleaning solutions.
Color Extended color range. Deep, consistent tone — vapor-smoothed surface produces a uniform sheen not achievable on matte finishes.
Porosity Sealed surface. Significantly reduced porosity versus unfinished Nylon 12 — suitable for kitchen environments and installations requiring cleanable hardware.
Skin ISO 10993 certified. Sealed surface. Safe for daily hand contact.
All Environments

Finish availability varies by colorway. Sealed finish is recommended for all kitchen, hospitality, and multi-unit residential specifications.
