Furniture & Lighting

PolyFrames -- commission a piece or a collection.

A node-based modular system in solid walnut and durable nylon components. Standard pieces are made-to-order; custom configurations -- alternate sizes, materials, and integrated features -- are available through our commission process.

Well-suited for hospitality fit-outs, boutique retail, or residential interiors where a coherent, bespoke furniture presence is the goal. We work from spec to delivery.

  • --Floor lamps, table lamps, coat racks, coffee tables
  • --Custom dimensions, wood species, and configurations by quote
  • --Lead time: 3-5 weeks standard; 6-12 weeks for custom builds
Commission a Piece

Custom Services

Adapt an existing design, or commission something entirely new.

Reconfigure a Collection

Adapt a validated VOLDT design to your project without breaking the system.

  • --Adjust dimensions to suit millwork, doors, or layouts
  • --Alternate finishes within a curated library
  • --Quantity pricing for multi-room or multi-unit projects
  • --Cluster planning for pendant lighting arrays

Typical timeline: 6-12 weeks from design approval

Bespoke Project

Fully custom design and fabrication, scoped and quoted.

  • --Custom parametric systems for product families and architectural components
  • --Reverse engineering and reproduction of discontinued, obsolete, or out-of-production hardware -- worked from an existing sample, any quantity from one up (details)
  • --SLS/FDM printing, CNC milling, laser engraving -- assembled and finished
  • --Quote includes scope, timeline, material breakdown

Timeline: project-dependent; quote provided after review

Repair & Reproduction

Replacement parts for hardware that is no longer manufactured.

When the original manufacturer has gone out of business, discontinued a line, or never sold a replacement in the first place, the part still has to come from somewhere. We reverse-engineer it from an existing sample and produce as many as you need -- one, or several hundred.

Common for obsolete cabinet and door hardware, panel latches, window and railing components, and architectural elements in older buildings where matching the existing profile matters more than catalog availability.

What We Take On

  • --Discontinued or obsolete cabinet pulls, knobs, and door hardware
  • --Panel latches, catches, and mechanical closures
  • --Window, shutter, and railing components on older buildings
  • --Architectural trim, escutcheons, and decorative elements
  • --One-off custom components designed from scratch
  • --Ad hoc printing and machining from your own model or drawing

Case Study -- Commercial Hardware Reconstruction

A large commercial development needed 240 custom latches reproduced for existing electrical panels after the original manufacturer ceased operations. We reverse-engineered the hardware from physical samples, developed parametric models to absorb dimensional variation across door types, and produced every component to finish specification.

Scope

240 components

Timeline

8 weeks, sample to delivery

Outcome

Full match to original spec

Existing

Original discontinued electrical panel latch, front view, used as the reverse-engineering sample

Reconstructed

Reproduced replacement panel latch, front view, matched to the original specification
Original discontinued panel latch, back view showing mounting detail
Reproduced replacement panel latch, back view with matching mounting detail

Before You Inquire

What's the minimum quantity?

One. Single replacements and prototypes are normal work for us, not exceptions.

Do you need the physical part?

For simple geometry, dimensioned photographs with a scale reference next to the part are often enough. Complex profiles and anything that has to fit an existing mechanism need the sample in hand.

Do I get my sample back?

Yes -- it ships back with the finished order. Reverse-engineering is non-destructive.

Can you match the original finish?

Finish specification is part of the quote. Tell us what the surrounding hardware looks like and we'll match to it.

What materials and processes?

Polyamide and other durable polymers via SLS/FDM, plus CNC milling and laser engraving -- assembled and finished in-house in Michigan.

What about load-bearing or safety-rated parts?

Tell us the application up front. If a part carries structural load or needs a code rating we can't certify, we'll say so rather than quote it.
